Free Root Beer Float 2pm to close at Lexington A&W Burgers. Donations to Wounded Warrior Project will also be collected during these hours. 

Participating A&W restaurants are located at Fayette Mall, Hamburg, Leestown Road, and Main Street.

A&W to Donate 50% of Sales to Wounded Warrior Project® and Lexington Humane Society and Give Away FREE Root Beer Floats

Lexington, KY (July 23, 2015) – A&W Restaurants, Inc. is proud to announce the opening of the fourth A&W Burgers Chicken Floats location in August at 652 E. Main St., Lexington. This all new A&W is the fourth corporate prototype location. The new A&W serves Root Beer Floats with Root Beer made fresh in the restaurant, fresh, never frozen 100% U.S. Beef burgers cooked to order with the guest’s choice of toppings, and hand-breaded chicken tenders.

The new Main Street A&W is honored to partner with two charities during the Grand Opening week (August 3-9) and will donate 50% of sales to Wounded Warrior Project and the Lexington Humane Society. All four Lexington locations will also be celebrating National Root Beer Float Day on August 6, where guests can receive a FREE small Root Beer Float just by asking.

Schedule of Events

• August 3-6 (Monday – Thursday), 10:30am – 10pm: Main St. A&W is donating 50% of all sales to Wounded Warrior Project.
• August 6 (Thursday), 2pm – close: National Root Beer Float Day! All four locations will give away a FREE small Root Beer Float to any guest who asks.
• August 7-9 (Friday – Sunday), 10:30am – 10pm: Main St. A&W is donating 50% of all sales to the Lexington Humane Society.
• August 8 (Saturday), 11am – 3pm: Main St. location Grand Opening Celebration. There will be fun for the entire family, including face painting, Rooty the Great Root Bear™, and music. Spin the Prize Wheel for a chance to win FREE Root Beer Floats for an entire year!
