Kentucky Great Writers: Holly Goddard Jones at Carnegie Center

The Kentucky Great Writers Series connects Carnegie Center students with authors in an intimate atmosphere. Tonight’s event starts at 7 pm (October 12), at the Carnegie Center, with a 30-minute open-mic session to give the audience a chance to participate.

At 7:30 the readings by featured authors will begin. Each author will read for 15-20 minutes from a work of their choice. After the author readings, the audience will have the opportunity to get books signed. Sarabande Books sponsors the October KY Great Writers series.

Girl Trouble, by Kentucky native and UK Alum, Holly Goddard Jones, was Ace’s first book club selection last year. She has appeared twice on the Ace cover in the past year, first as a subject, and then as a contributing writer.

Tonight’s lineup is Holly Goddard Jones, Girl Trouble; Elizabeth Oakes, The Luminescence of All Things Emily; and Alex Taylor, The Name of the Nearest River.
