Today was the ribbon cutting for Bingham McCutchen law firm in Lexington. (Lexington hosted a brass band welcome on September 20, 2012 when they announced the decision to locate global headquarters in the bluegrass.)

Bingham Chairman Jay Zimmerman said the new facility, designed by DC-based architects Lehman Smith MacLeish and built out by Lexington-based Congleton-Hacker, will eventually house approximately 250 employees. He welcomed those gathered with, “Today is about tomorrow at Bingham,” adding that he loved the strengths of Lexington as a diverse college town with a commitment to lifelong learning.

UK President Eli Capilouto drew a laugh when he said, “today will be the only day UK celebrates with orange.”
