Comedian Louie Anderson begins his three day stint at comedy at Comedy Off Broadway.

Tonight’s Thursday Night Live performance is The Johnson Brothers at Cheapside Square.

FRIDAY (May, 24, 2013)

Pat Gerhard: “These are the other others.”

The Lexington Art League SITE installation is this week, with the opening celebration on May 24 from 6 pm to 9 pm.  Various artists will each reinvent a room in the house.  Food and drink by Fork in the Road and That’s How We Roll.

A Tribe Called Lex does  A Tribe Called Quest at Al’s Bar tonight.

Design Your Own Revolution has selected Dakota Smith to “design his own revolution” at Land of Tomorrow Gallery with the aid of designer Paul Michael Brown.  All are welcome to attend this art project’s construction, Friday (daytime).

SATURDAY (May, 25, 2013)

James from CrankWorks Bicycles will be a neutral support mechanic for Horsey Hundred in Georgetown.

The 36th annual Horsey Hundred, a  bike ride tour of the Bluegrass, begins today in Georgetown, Kentucky.  Bikers can choose various route options with a diverse range of mileages, each offering “an opportunity to share your cycling passion with…others in Kentucky horse country.”

Pops Records holds its 17th birthday bash with food, music, and giveaways.

The Lex Made Trade Fair opens up NoLi to flea market style to showcase Lexington businesses.

Pools open for the season on Memorial day weekend with Poolapalooza at Southland Pool.

SUNDAY (May, 26, 2013)

Tour de Coops 2013 begins today from 1 pm to 4 pm, with a party to follow at 4:30 at Alfalfa on Main St.  It includes a self guided tour of 9 coops, with workshops at select coop locations.

Night Beds performs tonight at Cosmic Charlie’s at 9 pm.

The Holler Poets Series is celebrating its 5 year anniversary, featuring newly inducted Kentucky Poet Laureate Frank X Walker and Affrilachian Poet Mitchell Douglas at Al’s Bar.

Mrs. Lincoln’s Walking Tour of Lexington is today at 2:30 hosted by the Mary Todd Lincoln House.
