Actors Guild of Lexington premieres William Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead, a comedic marriage of zombie homage and Elizabethan history (through May 19).

Studio Players grand opening of Funny Money at the Carriage House Theatre.

Chris Kattan performs his comedy act at Comedy Off Broadway (through May 12).

Deb’s Social Stimulus presents Gen Silent at the Lyric Theatre, a documentary depicting the challenges LGBT elderly may face in discriminatory elder-care systems.

Erik Reece, a UK professor, discusses and signs his book The Embattled Wilderness at Morris Book Shop.

Lexington Humane Society hosts Mutt Strut, its annual dog-friendly 2k walk at Keeneland.

Lexington’s First Annual Crawfish Festival, including a crawfish boil with 1,500 pounds of live crawfish, will take place at The Red Mile.  Live music will be played.
