This weekend’s pick road trips are Willie Nelson at the Master Musicians Festival in Somerset, and Lebowski Fest in Louisville.

But it will be hard to pry yourself away from Lexington this weekend. The Blueberries reunite! Happy birthdays for Coffeetimes (30), Morris Book Shop (5), and Keeneland’s Concours d’Elegance (10). Pick up a White Elephant at UK Art Museum’s annual sale. Do the time warp again at the Kentucky… and wake up to Brunch with the Queens. Let’s get to it.

THURSDAY July 18, 2013

Tonight’s Thursday Night Live is Superfecta.

The documentary Sole Survivor will screen tonight at the Kentucky Theatre. It is being shown first  in communities impacted by the aviation tragedies that are profiled in the film (including the sole survivor of Comair Flight 5191).

Studio Players’ production of Always Patsy Cline continues this weekend at the Carriage House in Bell Court.

FRIDAY July 19, 2013

Happy Birthday Coffeetimes! 30?! Not everybody gets a birthday serenade with Coralee and the Townies. 7 pm to 10 pm. There will be cake.

SATURDAY July 20, 2013

The tenth annual Concours d’Elegance at Keeneland  is today. This year’s spotlight is the Mustang. Click here to check out a few photos from the Maserati Mingle preview in June. The awards presentation will be at 3, and word is there will be an actual live Shelby 67 GT 500 on site!

Happy fifth Birthday to the Morris Book Shop! They will be celebrating in Chevy Chase with live music, and Athenian Grill’s food truck parked out front.

The Blueberries by Forrest Payne, for Ace. 1998.

Nearby, UK Art Museum hosts its enormously popular annual White Elephant Sale today.

The Blueberries play tonight at Willie’s. Click to read a vintage 1998 Ace coverstory interview with the Blueberries.

Tonight’s Midnight Movie is Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Kentucky Theatre.

SUNDAY July 21, 2013

You can kick off the morning at Brunch with the Queens at Natasha’s, and for something completely different,  Shrek! The Musical plays all weekend at the Lexington Children’s Theatre.

Lexington’s Lyric Theatre is screening a Summer Sunday film series highlighting African American movie history. Today’s offering is Lilies of the Field.

MONDAY July 22, 2013

Tonight’s Woodsongs is Over the Rhine at the Lyric.

Love Wimbledon? The 5/3 tennis tourney is this week. Catch a few matches and be the first to be able to say, “heyyyyy, I saw them way back when.”

Off With Their Heads plays Buster’s tonight.

TUESDAY July 23, 2013

Tonight’s Southland Jamboree is Laurel River Line. Tonight’s Big Band/Jazz series at Ecton Park is Colonel’s Choice.

WEDNESDAY July 24, 2013

Summerfest debuts its second offering of the 2013 season, A Chorus Line, at the UK Arboretum. (The fest switched from three offerings to two this year.)

Today’s Hollywood movie classics entry at the Kentucky Theatre is The Man Who Knew Too Much.

Tonight’s Red Barn Radio is Trinity River Band at ArtsPlace.

Holler 62 (Holler Poets Series) is at Al’s Bar. Music from Bear Medicine.
