At a news conference this morning, Lexington mayor Jim Gray said road crews and the 46 trucks the city has available for snow and ice work will be on a round-the-clock work schedule to monitor, treat and clear roads.
Additional police officers and firefighters have been assigned.
Mayor Gray says it is unlikely he will have to declare a snow emergency, but if so, citizens need to make sure they are not parked on a snow emergency route. The snow route information is available at http://www.lexingtonky.gov/snowplan.
