This is what you call shaking off the haters.

Hating because you’ve perfected the current system of keeping players in college for at least one year before leaving for the NBA. Hating because they are jealous. Hating because they want to be you.

How do you respond? You build what’s shaping up to be the best basketball team ever, go 31-0 in the regular season and rack up award after award as Coach of the Year. Have a former program you coached at want to honor you (thereby creating more haters). John (can I call you that?), you know what’s the best way to silence the haters?

Show ’em your hardware Coach Cal. Then go cut down some nets.
