How’s the Harlan kid doing on NBC’s The Voice?

Screen Shot 2015-11-10 at 6.57.46 PMHarlan (KY) native Jordan Smith blew the judges and crowd away again when he closed out Monday night’s episode of “The Voice.” The Eastern Kentucky native received a standing ovation for his rendition of Beyonce’s “Halo” on the first night of the live playoffs.

The lengthy applause left the judges with little time to respond but Pharrell told Smith his voice was “signed by God.” Adam Levine, Smith’s coach on ‘The Voice,’ called him an inspiration.

“You’re a person that everybody draws this amazing energy from. And it’s like, it’s unlike anything I’ve ever, ever experienced in my life and I’m just honored to be a part of it man,” Levine said.

Viewer votes will determine if Smith makes the top 12. We will find out who makes it to the next round during Tuesday night’s elimination episode.

UPDATE: Smith advanced to the top 12 during Wednesday night’s show. The top 12 will face off on Monday at 8 p.m.
