Lexington public libraries will be closed on Memorial Day 2016.

Lexington’s Division of Waste Management will adjust its schedule for Memorial Day. There will be no collections on Monday, May 30. Residents and businesses that normally receive curbside pick-up on Monday will be serviced on Wednesday, June 1. Those impacted should place their carts out after 4 pmon Tuesday to ensure Wednesday collection. Curbside collection will only be impacted for those normally serviced on Monday.
Businesses with dumpsters (landfill-bound and recycling), normally serviced by the city on Monday will have their units picked up on Tuesday, May 31. Businesses with dumpsters, normally serviced on Tuesdays, will have their units picked up on Wednesday, June 1. Thursday and Friday pick-ups will be made as usual.
Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government offices, as well as the Lexington Recycling Center, the Electronics Recycling Center and the Haley Pike Waste Management Facility, will be closed on the holiday.
