The finalized design, which incorporated input from more than 16,000 people through forums, surveys, and meetings, is the next key milestone in the creation of the 10-acre green space adjacent to the new Central Bank Center.
Attendees at the announcement viewed plans for a large permanent stage and amphitheater, unique children’s play areas, water features, a dog park, food and beverage offerings, art installations, and the emergence of Town Branch Creek flowing through the space.
In addition, a fly-through video and a scaled model brought the park to life.
Town Branch Park also held nine smaller, pop-up displays throughout the community – from the Lexington Senior Center to Greyline Station to several library branches to Thursday Night Live and the Farmers’ Market.
