Ballet Under the Stars returns to Lexington, Kentucky’s Woodland Park on August 2-5, 2012.

The program begins at 8 p.m. with a children’s pre-show of Tinker Bell and the Fairy Ball. This 40-minute piece, choreographed by Mindy Stone and Meredith Sims, will be performed by local dancers ranging in age from 7–15 years. The main show starts at 9 p.m. and will feature professional dancers from the Kentucky Ballet Theatre and the Lexington Ballet Company. The Kentucky Ballet Theatre will perform Nisi Dominus, Concerto in E, Cuban Sugar, Tango Trio and Boleros. Numbers performed by the Lexington Ballet Company will include the Fairy Doll, Swan Lake (Second Act) and Concerto in A Minor.
