On Wednesday July 13, the Summer Movie Classics Series will show An American Werewolf in London at the Kentucky Theatre in downtown Lexington on Main.

Define a classic? The Kentucky Theatre has spent decades doing just that for the Hollywood Summer Movie Classics. For almost two decades, The Kentucky Theatre has screened classic films every Wednesday (matinee and evening) from late May until early September.

Classics are, of course, in the eye of the beholder, and could range from Cool Hand Luke to Cool Runnings, from  John Huston to John Hughes. It’s why the series has always been so popular.

Summer 2022 offers the same delightful degree of variety.
