Sunday Salons in September, Moveable Feast Lexington

September 14, 2014 @ 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Every Sunday in September, Moveable Feast Lexington will sponsor a gathering at a different historic, architecturally significant Lexington home with a special host to celebrate art, music, and literature. These events are being called September Sunday Salons. Each event will be uniquely styled by the individual hosts. Each Sunday program will serve up food, drink, and plenty of interaction with the arts and fine art collections.

On Sunday, September 14th, Robie Flynn and Marty Byro will host an Urban-country Newgrass picnic at the W. Sixth Street. This “T-Plan” Victorian Cottage was built in the 1870s by stone mason, Frank Hulett, as a farmhouse for his son. The small barn on the property also dates from this time. Music will be provided by Ben Sollee; also on display is new works by painter Patrick Smith, who’s represented in the 21c museum collection.

Call Moveable Feast Lexington at 859.252-2867 for ticket info, prices, and reservations. Attendance will be strictly kept at small numbers to ensure a unique experience, and space is limited. All salons will be from 2:30 pm till 5:30 pm.
