Roots & Heritage KidsFest
As a part of Roots & Heritage Weekend, there is a KidsFest near the Hurst Lot at Short Street on September 6th from 12 - 5 pm. Activities will include mystic dragon inflatables, interactive workshops, science demonstrations, African bread making, and face painting.

Historic East Lexington Walking Tour, Lyric Theatre
As part of the Lexington Roots & Heritage Festival, there will be a tour of historic East Lexington starting at the Lyric Theatre. The tour, which will begin at 1 pm, will be led by historian and lifetime Lexington resident Yvonne Giles.
