Ballet Under the Stars at Lexington, Kentucky’s Woodland Park
Ballet Under the Stars returns to Lexington, Kentucky's Woodland Park on August 2-5, 2012. The program begins at 8 p.m. with a children’s pre-show of Tinker Bell and the Fairy Ball. This 40-minute piece, choreographed by Mindy Stone and Meredith Sims, will be performed by local dancers ranging in age from 7–15 years. Dog Paddle, Woodland Park
The 13th Annual Dog Paddle in Lexington will be held on Saturday, September 7, at the Woodland Aquatic Center. Admission is $10 per dog (with a limit of 2 people per dog) and $5 per person after the limit (children under 10 are admitted free with paid adult). All dogs must show their 2012 or 2013 rabies tag or proof of vaccination. On the Move Art Studio, Woodland Park
The grand opening of the On the Move Art Studio is Thursday, September 10th at 6 p.m. in Woodland Park. Last November, On The Move Art Studio raised $8,000 in a Kickstarter campaign to renovate a vintage trailer into a mobile art room to showcase in underserved neighborhoods and host free art classes for children. There ribbon cutting event will have food and other entertainment.
