BRCC Fall Volunteer Training

Lexington AIDS Walk, downtown
The 2013 Lexington AIDS Walk is April 7. Check-in/Registration at 2PM.  Walk at 3PM.  Meet at Third Street Stuff. Prizes will be awarded to individuals and teams who raise the most money for the Lexington AIDS Walk. T-shirts will be available on a first come-first serve basis the day of the event for walkers who have riased a minimum $25 sponsorship.

Farmland 5K, Midway
Farmland 5K 2013 will be held on Saturday, July 27, to help raise funds to protect Bluegrass farmland. This run/walk event will feature routes along Spring Station Road in Midway, Kentucky. Check-in and registration will run from 7:30 am-8:30 am in front of Kern Thoroughbred offices, the actual Farmland 5K event will start at 9 am, and the race awards/celebration will be held from 10 am-11 am. Bike Trek To Shakertown
Bike Trek To Shakertown 2013 will be a 3-day round-trip route from Saturday, September 14, to Monday, September 16. The trek will begin and end in Harrodsburg, with a Saturday overnight at the Pioneer Playhouse in Danville. A two-day option (Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th ) is available and includes the Saturday night stay in Danville and a visit to Shakertown without the overnight. All proceeds will go to benefit the American Lung Association. Bourbon Chase 2013
The Bourbon Chase is a 200 mile journey across the bluegrass with 300 competing teams. Â The race beings at Jim Bean near Clermont, KY and finishes in Lexington, KY. Â Runners will go through historic bourbon distilleries, horse country, and small homey towns. Lexington Community Radio Grand Opening, 500 Newtown Pike

Thriller Zombie Rehearsals, Artworks
Rehearsals for the Thriller Zombie Parade in downtown Lexington begin on October 1. All rehearsals will be at Artworks at the Carver School on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
